The Cloud Club series are all unique silkscreens from a medium format photo taken by myself out of a helicopter. They feature up to 5 different screens and 22k gold leaf.
The Cloud Club was an exclusive club inside of the Chrysler Building opened in July 1930 and closed in 1979. These pieces explore the lofty highs of the elite where the streets are literally paved with gold.
Some of the series feature the newsprint tests done before the final silkscreen collaged into different interpretations. In these works the tests form the final artwork. A testament to the process of hard work that often forms the backbone to success.
